It’s been almost a year since my initial post. Been kind of busy. I’m hoping to be able to keep up with this now.
So things that are new:
My son is about to finish 1st grade at United Christian Academy, my husband has finished his next to last year in grad school. Also, he’s almost finished with his first year teaching.
Things are going great at church! I attend First United Pentecostal church in Port Arthur, Texas.
What you missed @ FUPC:
Roundup Sunday- we all wore rodeo and western attire. We had a cookout, games, and horse rides!
On the very same day we also celebrated the elders in our church with a supper just for them. I was asked to prepare a couple of desserts; banana pudding and peach cobbler (recipes will be in another post).
Easter- Unfortunately the children were unable to put on a skit, but we were treated to a lovely sermon about the resurrection. HE LIVES!!
Recommitment Sunday. We are going to build a new church!!
It’s Saturday so tonight will be our weekly youth led service. We have awesome youth! They are filled with the holy spirit and are not afraid to show it!
Our service just ended a little while ago. As usual the holy spirit moved through the congregation touching souls left and right! It was awesome to experience! One of our pastors sons Bro Jonathan McCoy spoke about not being afraid to step out and talk about God; winning souls.
I’d like to end this post asking if anyone reading this has a prayer request. Leave it in the comments and I’ll make sure to add you to my personal prayer list. Have a blessed night!
